My Story
I have spent my career studying, researching, teaching providers about, and treating ADHD and associated impairments. As a faculty member at the University of Chicago, George Washington University, University of Illinois at Chicago, and since 2013 at the University of Washington, I have treated thousands of patients, and published over 140 peer-reviewed articles and chapters on the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. I have served as president of the American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders, on the editorial boards of several psychiatry and psychology journals, and been recognized by Children and Adults with ADHD (CHADD) with a lifetime achievement award in 2017. Motivated by the scarcity of high-quality adult ADHD assessments available in our state, I am now starting an independent private practice where I will provide diagnostic evaluations, consultations, and assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
